I am not so sure I will do that for eWallet and I will probably look for an alternative to it.Intuit today announced the availability of Quicken 2015 for Mac, featuring a new, clean and simple interface designed specifically for Mac and new investment capabilities. I enjoy and use Quicken a lot so I will probably end up paying.

Ilium software was unable to assist me in resolving the problem.Īlthough their resolution center is email orientated, unlike the Quicken personal tech assistance, they did try but failed in the end.īottom line: There are SOME NON MICROSOFT application that just don’t seem to load under a fresh install of Windows 10 and you will probably have to pay for a new version just to use them.
(I have 3 experiences, including one of my own, of this situation).ĮWallet: ewallet is another program that just won’t work after a flesh install and in fact, failed during the install process. (I have 3 experiences with it working for others after the upgrade), but it probably WONT work, installed on a new computer that comes with Windows 10 installed.

I know it SHOULD work if you upgrade your computer So now I own a license to software I can’t use and of course Quicken will probably charge me for a new version that will work under Windows 10. Quicken: Quicken would install, but I could NOT open the application after installation, even if I indicated “open as administrator”. The first was QUICKEN and the second was password software from Ilium Two programs in particular were a problem and WOULD NOT OPEN after installed on the new computer. Of Windows 10, I was working with an upgraded version of Windows 10 and not a fresh install. This was a time consuming effort, but I learned a lot because during my beta testing That’s where the issues started.īecause I was working with a NEW install and NOT an upgrade, I had to manually re-install a lot of programs. They could not fix it, so they replaced it with a NEW computer I took the computer back to the place where it was purchased because it was still under warranty. Particular computer shortly ended up with a Solid State Drive error that shut down the computer. In fact, I had many working applications that had almost no problems. When I upgraded to Windows 10 it worked fine.

I had one Windows 8.1 computer (that I Own) that had Quicken on it. This experience is backed up on similar situations with at least 6 of 10 computers within my computer group help sessions. Non-Microsoft applications and apparently Microsoft was informed of this during the beta testing. I have a lot of experience around the Windows operating system and networking. Recently, I have been helping many of the retired people of our computer group through the Windows 10 upgrade and I can say categorically, that Windows 10 is a BIG problem for many
